North Kitsap Herald - Poulsbo, WA Marketing Artist I led the production department at a local newspaper that averaged $95,000 in advertising sales per month. My responsibilities were numerous and diverse. Foremost among them was ad creation. I used creativity and good design principals to custom create ads that suited every clientıs needs. I was honored with four awards in the 2004 WNPA Better Newspaper Contest. In addition I wrote and designed sales material for use by the four salespeople. I supervised the production of contracted directories and supplemental sections, I also dummied and adlined the paper. The software I used was the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design) on Mac OS 10.3. |

Self Employed My responsibilities included sales, inventory management, and custom framing. Custom Framing entailed matte and glass cutting, cutting wood and metal frames to size, assembling frames with mattes and glass, and using archival conservation methods and materials. |

Wrote and delivered performance appraisals for as many as eight employees per cycle. Conducted interviews for new hires. - Managed floor operations of the fifth highest grossing Kinko's branch in the world - Initiated policies to improve efficiency of document creation - Designed and implemented systems for archiving print on demand documents - Built and trained an expert Express Computer Services team - Second level technical support for printing and network issues - Graphic design and document creation for internal and client projects |
